Leaving Carolina by Tamara Leigh
03 November 2009
This is a wonderful novel with a story much like one you've probably heard before. Small town girl goes to the big city. She has a career, a big shot boyfriend, and pretty much all she wants put of life. When an eccentric relative's action cause her to return to her hometown, life turns upside down. This is a charming book filled with wit, romance, and a nice dash of southern flair. Complete with dogs, unusual relatives, and country boys it is almost Sweet Home Alabama with a Christian twist.
I absolutely inhaled this novel. I finished it in a day. The characters are so well written, you feel like you are reading about old friends. Although the story reminds me of some I've read before, the novel offers a unique perspective on what it means to come home. I give this one two thumbs up! I love books like this. I just read a book, it took me 3 days to finish but I loved it and had a hard time putting it down. I love when authors do that to me :)
