It's a crazy second week of school here. Homework, sports practices, and our generally chaotic schedule have made meal planning a challenge. Here is what I have cooked up for our week. Many of the items came from the awesome Combo Loco Deals offered by HEB the past few weeks.
Monday: Manwich sloppy joes, fries, and fruit salad. Super easy and fast to put together and the family loves it.
Tuesday: Sweet & Sour Chicken LaChoy Creation. This product is a hit with the kids especially.
Wednesday: Crockpot Chili Dogs. Just toss everything in the pot and cook on low.
Thursday: Banquet Family Serve Entree. So, all I'm cooking are sides, but it's a crazy busy day here Thursday.
Friday: Jo Mama's World Famous Spaghetti. Yes, I'm taking another crack at homemade spaghetti sauce. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
What's cooking in your kitchen this week?

What's cooking in my kitchen this week is a lot of creativity! It's a payday week, meaning I'm down to my last few days of my LAST paycheck and money is downright SCARCE.
We play this game every two weeks or so, you know, the one where you gather all the random ingredients you find stashed in your cupboard or freezer and figure out how to turn it into a meal? :-)
It's actually how I introduced myself to the world of seasonings and spices, because you can turn even the most mundane dish into a stellar meal if you've got just the right amount of spice!
We cooked out so much on Saturday and then made a big meal on Sunday....that we have had leftovers all week. Looks like they are going for a few more days.
