For those of us in Texas, it is tax free holiday weekend. I will be honest, we rarely do the bulk of our back to school shopping at this time. In my opinion, it is too much like black Friday and just not worth fighting the crowds. But, it can be a great time to snag some deals. You can get the skinny on tax free weekend here.

I got really lucky with school clothes this week, as a local thrift store had an all you can get in a bag for $1 sale. I came home with clothes that still had store tags on them! It was a real blessing for our family!
